Field Trip -

Following the one day conference in Rotorua, a full day field
trip has been organised. This is an optional extra to the conference
registration fee.
The coach will depart the Energy Events Centre at 8.30am for:
Red Stag Timber is New Zealand's largest structural timber mill,
privately owned and based in Rotorua. It was established in 2003
to own and operate the Waipa Mill, which was originally established
by the
government in 1939 and subsequently privatised in 1996. Red Stag
Timber consists
of a sawmill with associated timber processing operations, and
is
currently producing 350,000 m3 of sawn timber per year. The company
employs

The visit will include a tour of the sawmill and the secondary
processing planermill.
Port of Tauranga, from the coach, the participants will view all
operations both on the Mount side (where the tankers, break bulk
and bulk ships hub (oil and logs etc)) and operational activities
at the Tauranga Container Terminal (Sulphur Point - cranes, containers,
straddles etc). For a good overview or more in-depth information

After leaving the Port, the coach will transfer delegates to Mills
Reef Winery/Restaurant for a two course lunch and wine tasting.
Cost: $120.00 per person (+GST). This cost is optional to the
Conference registration fee. Price includes: coach, visits and
lunch/wine tasting.
